Go Metro to Free NFL Season Kick-off at the Los Angeles Coliseum

Go Metro to the Los Angeles Coliseum September 8 for the NFL's official kick-off of the 2005 football season.

Returning to the coliseum, the site of the very first Super Bowl, the league will kick off "The Road To Forty" with a free outdoor concert featuring nationally known performers, such as Rhianna, and other star guests. Kanye West, Maroon 5, and Good Charlotte will headline the entertainment. Twenty four former NFL players, including Super Bowl XVIII MVP Marcus Allen and Pro Football Hall of Famers, will take part, as will the USC marching band.

The concert will be preceded at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Wednesday, Sept. 7 by the NFL Kickoff Celebration which will include a Celebrity Pepsi, Punt, Pass & Kick event, football clinics and a health fair for local youths.

Gates for the September 8 event will open at 2:30 p.m. with music and festivities running through 6 p.m.
