Metro Board Approves $25.9-Million Contract to All-Female Owned Consultant Support Services Group for Airport Connector Project

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Board of Directors recently awarded a contract to KDG+DE Construction Support Services for $25.9 million to provide construction support for the Airport Metro Connector (AMC) 96th Street Transit Station project. This is the first time a female-led consultant group has been selected to work on a large Metro project.

Metro to resume Expo Line service in downtown Los Angeles after completing construction work as part of the New Blue Project

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) announced today that the two Expo Line stations which have been closed for construction in downtown Los Angeles as part of the northern segment of the New Blue Improvements Project, will reopen to the public on Saturday, August 24.

Metro, City of Los Angeles Launch Smart Metro Bikes in North Hollywood Area

Marking its first deployment of bike share in the San Fernando Valley, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has partnered with the City of Los Angeles to launch new “Smart” Metro Bikes in the North Hollywood area, the Valley’s premiere arts district and its busiest transit hub.
