FTA Approves L.A. Metro’s Request to be Reimbursed for Early Work Activities for Purple Line Extension Section Three

Baldwin Park, Irwindale, L.A. County Department of Parks & Recreation to host Metro’s Pride of the Valley Open Streets Event

WHAT:

On Sunday, September 16, Metro will join the cities of Baldwin Park, Irwindale and the L.A. County Department of Parks and Recreation for the Pride of the Valley Open Streets event. Streets in the area will be closed to traffic for this car-free event for bicyclists, walkers and rollers to travel along Maine Avenue, Olive Street and Azusa Canyon Road for a 4.6-mile route. The family-friendly event will include live performances, health and wellness activities and kid fun zones.

Baldwin Park, Irwindale and L.A. County Parks and Recreation to Host Metro’s Pride of the Valley Open Streets Event on Sunday, September 16

The cities of Baldwin Park, Irwindale and L.A. County Parks and Recreation have partnered with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) to host the Pride of the Valley Open Streets event on Sunday, September 16, that will provide bicyclists, walkers, runners and rollers with a day of car-free local streets. It is the first Open Streets event in the Emerald Necklace region along the San Gabriel River Trail.

Last Phase of Crenshaw Boulevard Restoration Moves to Crenshaw/Expo Station

Restoration work for the Crenshaw/LAX Line is moving to the area around the future Crenshaw/Expo Station beginning this Friday evening at 9 p.m., the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Authority (Metro) has announced. Work will mostly be on Crenshaw Boulevard between Coliseum Street and Exposition Boulevard.
