Metro Receives 900th and Final Bus of Order from New Flyer

Completing an order of new CNG buses that comprises 40 percent of the current fleet, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) today received delivery of the 900th and final New Flyer XN40 bus.

Metro Receives Three More Unsolicited Proposals for Measure M Projects Two proposals for Sepulveda Pass, one on West Santa Ana Rail project

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) today announced that it has received three more unsolicited proposals for Measure M mega projects – two for the Sepulveda Pass project and another for the West Santa Ana Branch Light Rail project. This brings to eight the number of unsolicited proposals for projects included in Measure M – Metro’s November ballot measure.

A new $10.5-million U.S. Department of Transportation grant will fund the purchase of 30 next-generation, near zero-emission compressed natural gas buses to run in the South Bay and Gateway Cities region, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) announced today.

New Measure R Project Opens - Metro, City of Westlake Village Open New Park & Ride Facility Near U.S. 101

Metro Celebrates Ceremonial Naming, Lowering of Tunnel Boring Machine for the Regional Connector Transit Project

Metro joined elected officials and community stakeholders today in Little Tokyo at the ceremonial naming and lowering of a segment of the tunnel boring machine (TBM) that will dig twin 1.1-mile underground rail tunnels under downtown Los Angeles. Excavation work will begin in January.

Go Metro to Taste of Soul 2016 to Enjoy Delicious Food, Live Music and Local Crafts

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is encouraging the public to Go Metro to the 11th annual Taste of Soul on Saturday, October 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The festival will take place on Crenshaw Boulevard between Rodeo Road and Stocker Street, in the heart of the historic Crenshaw District. To avoid the hassle of driving and parking, festival-goers can take Metro Expo Line to the Expo/Crenshaw Station, which is a short walk from the festival.

Regional Connector Transit Project Decking Installation Work to Start this Weekend along Flower Street in Downtown Los Angeles

Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) work crews under contract to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) will begin a series of full weekend closures along Flower Street in downtown Los Angeles between 3rd and 5th Streets in order to perform cut and cover/decking activities for the Regional Connector Transit Project.
