Southbound 405 Freeway Closures Between Getty Center Drive and Wilshire Boulevard Planned Nights of June 27-July 2

The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project contractor is scheduled to conduct consecutive nighttime freeway closures on the southbound I-405 between Getty Center Drive and Wilshire Boulevard beginning on the night of Friday, June 27 through the morning of Wednesday, July 2, 2014. The contractor will conduct freeway striping.

Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Construction Alert

Plan ahead, allow extra travel time, or steer clear of airport-area traffic the weekend of July 25-28, 2014.  These are the messages that the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT), Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), and Caltrans are advising the public in advance of a major bridge demolition that will result in 57-hour street closure of a portion of Century Boulevard, a major artery leading into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), that weekend.

Southbound 405 Freeway Closures Between 101 and Getty Center Drive Planned Nights of June 23-27

The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project contractor is scheduled to conduct four consecutive nighttime freeway closures on the southbound I-405 between U.S. 101 and Getty Center Drive on-ramp beginning on the night of Monday, June 23 through the morning of Thursday, June 27, 2014, from midnight to 5 a.m. The contractor will install freeway loops and conduct thermoplastic freeway striping.

Pile Installation Begins for Construction of MLK Underground Rail Station for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Project

Metro and Walsh-Shea Constructors will on Monday, June 16, begin installing soldier piles on the east side of Crenshaw Boulevard, between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Stoker Street. This activity is part of construction for the Crenshaw/LAX Trans Project underground MLK station.
