Nighttime Directional Freeway Closures in West L.A. Planned December 2, 3, and 4

The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project contractor is scheduled to implement full directional closures of the I-405 in West L.A. the nights of December 2, 3, and 4, 2013. The closures will facilitate the realignment of lanes to accommodate work at the freeway median for roadway widening.

Northbound I-405 Off-Ramp at Sunset Boulevard in West Los Angeles To Reopen Monday Morning, November 25 Following Nearly Four-Month Closure

End of Sunset Boulevard "Ramp Jam" 

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and contractor Kiewit Infrastructure West will re-open the northbound I-405 off-ramp at Sunset Boulevard in West Los Angeles by 6 a.m. Monday morning, November 25, ending a 120-day ramp closure one week ahead of schedule.

The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project contractor is scheduled to implement a full directional closure on the southbound I-405 freeway between the U.S. 101 and Getty Center Dr. ramps beginning Thursday night, November 21 from midnight until 5 a.m. Friday morning.

The guided, artist-led tours will take you on an exploration of Metro station art and lead to Downtown on Ice, the outdoor ice skating rink at Pershing Square, where you can save $1 on admission to the rink by presenting your valid TAP card at the admission window.

METRO SAN GABRIEL VALLEY SERVICE COUNCIL NOVEMBER MEETING DATE CHANGE AND SPECIAL DECEMBER MEETING FOR ROUTE 485

Due to the November 11th Veterans Day holiday, Metro's San Gabriel Valley Service Council postponed its November meeting to Wednesday, November 20. The San Gabriel Valley Service Council will meet at their normal time and location, at 5 p.m. on the third floor of the Division 9 Transportation Building, located adjacent to the El Monte Station, at 3369 Santa Anita Ave.

Metro Presents: Pop-Up Dessert Cafe at Union Station Tuesday, Nov. 26

Metro will host pop-up dessert café Thanksgivvukah Café on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 during lunch at Union Station as part of Metro Presents, Metro's new program of arts and cultural events. The temporary cafe celebrates the rare overlap of Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah and will serve free desserts to those who stop by.

Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority Set to Begin Work Connecting Sierra Madre Villa Station to Azusa

The Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority has been making good progress on the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension, the 11.5-mile addition that will extend the Gold Line from its current terminus in eastern Pasadena to a new station in Azusa just north of Citrus College. Work is now set to begin to connect the future extension to the existing Gold Line Sierra Madre Villa Station.
