Artesia Metro Blue Line Station Roadway Project Underway

Beginning Monday, Feb. 4 the bus roadway at the Artesia Metro Blue Line Station will be reconstructed and a water line under the roadway will be replaced. The project will be constructed in seven phases and is expected to take approximately 90 days to complete.

Metro Blue Line Service to be Impacted due to Tree Trimming Activity Feb. 8 – 10

Due to tree trimming and track maintenance work, Metro Blue Line service in Long Beach between Wardlow Station and Long Beach Transit Mall will cease operation from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 to 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. On Sunday, Metro Blue Line service will continue suspension between Willow Station and Long Beach Transit Mall until 3:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11. The regular schedule will resume with start of service for the Monday morning commute.

Metro ExpressLanes to Debut Along 14-miles of the I-10 San Bernardino Freeway on Saturday, February 23

More than 80,000 FasTrak® ExpressLanes Transponders Issued; Numerous Discounts Offered

Following on the heels of the successful opening late last year of 11-miles of Metro ExpressLanes along the Harbor Freeway and with more than 80,000 Fastrak® ExpressLanes transponders now issued, Metro plans to open an additional 14-miles of Metro ExpressLanes along the I-10 San Bernardino Freeway at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013, weather permitting.

Metro to Run More Frequent Metro Gold Line Weekend Service

Beginning Sunday, January 27, Metro will operate more frequent service along the Metro Gold Line, improving train service from every 12 minutes to every 6 minutes on Saturday and Sundays from approximately 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Coming to Five Metro Locations

Electric vehicle (EV) drivers will soon be able to charge their vehicles for a nominal fee at five Metro park and ride stations: Union Station, Sierra Madre Villa Station, Willow Station, El Segundo Station and Universal City Station. Each of the five location will have facilities to charge up to four vehicles at a time. The first two locations, Union Station and Sierra Madre Villa Station, will open to the public in early January 2013. All stations will be open by mid-February 2013.
