Metro, Kiewit Complete Major Reconstruction Work on Sunset Bridge, Reopen All Lanes to Westside Motorists

Los Angeles, Calif. - Marking the first bridge delivery milestone for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and its contractor, Kiewit Infrastructure West, have officially completed major reconstruction work on the Sunset Bridge over the I-405 in West Los Angeles, and today reinstated all traffic lanes to motorists.

Make Metro Part of the USC Football Experience

The USC Trojans have one home win under their belt. So does Metro. An estimated 8,000 people rode the Expo Line to the USC football game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sept. 1 and there were approximately 22,000 game-related boardings on Metro overall.

Metro ExpressLanes Reaches Significant Milestone with the Opening of the 5,000th FasTrak® Account for the Congestion Reduction Project

 Reaching a significant milestone in an innovative project to ease traffic congestion on two of Los Angeles County's busiest freeways, Metro today celebrated the opening of the 5,000th FasTrak® account for traveling on the Metro ExpressLanes when they open on the I-110 Harbor Freeway in the Fall and on the I-10 San Bernardino Freeway in early 2013.

Metro Highlights Safety Awareness During Railroad Safety Month in California
