Servicio de Línea Azul del Metro será cancelado desde la estación Washington hasta 7th/Metro Center por construcción de Línea Expo este fin de semana

Los pasajeros de la Línea Azul del Metro sufrirán retrasos de hasta 40 minutos comenzando este Viernes 2 de Abril por la noche debido a la construcción de la línea Expo del tren ligero, la cual se conectará con la Línea Azul en el centro de Los Angeles. Metro tendrá servicio de autobuses.

Metro toma medidas enérgicas contra violadores de reglamentos detráfico durante operación de seguridad en Línea Azul del Metro

Como parte de una intensa campaña de seguridad enfocada en reducir el número de accidentes a lo largo de las 22 millas de la Línea Azul del Metro, docenas de agentes en motocicleta del Departamento del Sheriff del Condado de Los Angeles (LASD) y del Departamento de Policía de Los Angeles (LAPD), emitieron hoy 295 multas y recogieron 34 vehículos en una operación para imponer las leyes de tráfico en las calles del centro de Los Angeles.

Metro Focuses on Safety during Crackdown on Traffic Violators on Metro Blue Line Street Running Segment in Downtown Los Angeles

As part of an intensive safety campaign focusing on reducing accidents along the 22-mile Metro Blue Line, dozen of Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) motorcycle officers today issued 295 citations and impounded 34 vehicles in an operation to enforce traffic laws along the streets of downtown Los Angeles.

Soil Stability Testing Between Getty Center Drive and Skirball Center Drive Planned Beginning March 22

As part of the pre-construction activities for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project, the contractor will conduct a soil stability test near the Getty View Trailhead running along the northbound I-405 freeway between Getty Center Drive and Skirball Center Drive. This work activity is being conducted to survey and monitor the stability of the soil for the future construction of a retaining wall along the I-405 freeway. Night time work for this activity will require freeway lane closures and ramp closures to facilitate the safe use of excavation equipment.

Metro To Provide Special Express Bus Service from Union Station to Dodger Stadium during Pre-game and Regular Season 2010 Dodgers Games

Metro will offer Dodger Stadium Express bus service from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles to Dodger Stadium beginning April 1 with the Dodgers pre-game series and throughout the regular 2010 baseball season under a grant from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) grant of $300,000 awarded to Metro by the MSRC was made in support of clean fuel transit service to link Union Station to Dodger Stadium. The MSRC awards funding within the South Coast Air Basin from a portion of the vehicle registration fee set aside for mobile source projects that result in emission reductions.

Estacion Compton de la Linea Azul del Metro sera cerrada por mantenimiento este fin de semana

A partir del hoy Viernes 19 de Marzo y hasta el Domingo 21 de Marzo, la estación Compton de la Línea Azul del Metro será cerrada al público debido a trabajos de mantenimiento de sus sistemas y el reemplazo de las vías en el cruce con el bulevar Alondra. Los usuarios de Metro tendrán demoras de hasta 30 minutos entre las estaciones Imperial y Compton.

Metro Blue Line Compton Station will be closed this weekend due to maintenance

Beginning tonight Friday, March 19, through Sunday, March 21, the Metro Blue Line Compton Station will be closed due to systems maintenance and track replacement at the Alondra Boulevard crossing. Metro customers will experience up to 30 minutes delays between Imperial and Compton stations. Metro will provide bus service between Imperial/Wilmington and Artesia stations.

Sepulveda Boulevard Utility Relocation Work Planned Beginning March 19

As part of the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project and in preparation for the relocation of Sepulveda Blvd. to the east, the Contractor in conjunction with LADWP will relocate the overhead power lines on Sepulveda Blvd. between Montana Ave. and Sunset Blvd. This activity requires street lane closures for conduit trenching and placement of DWP vaults.

Elected officials, community leaders, Metro honor those buried in long abandoned potter’s field discovered during Eastside light rail construction

A memorial wall honoring poor immigrants and others from the last century, whose remains and artifacts were discovered in unmarked graves outside Evergreen Cemetery in Boyle Heights during construction of a retaining wall for the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension, was unveiled today in a ceremony headed by elected officials, community leaders and Metro executives.

Ciudad de Palmdale recibe fondos de Medida R, por el impuesto a la venta,

Ara Najarian, Presidente de la Junta de Directores de la Autoridad Metropolitana de Transporte del Condado de Los Angeles, junto al Supervisor del Condado de Los Angeles Michael Antonovich y el Presidente Ejecutivo de Metro Art Leahy entregaron fondos provenientes de la Medida R, el impuestos a la venta, al Concejo de la ciudad de Palmdale para usarse en mejorar al sistema de transporte en la ciudad del mismo nombre. El Alcalde de Palmdale, James C. Ledford Jr., aceptó el cheque de la Medida R durante la reunión del Concejo de la ciudad.

City of Palmdale Receives Measure R Sales Tax Funding

Metro Bus and Train Service to be Impacted by Academy Awards preparations

Street closures start, Monday, March 1, in the Hollywood area due to preparations for the Academy Awards show that will be held in the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood Highland complex on Sunday, March 7. Metro Bus Lines 212, 312, 217, 222 and 780 will be detoured through Monday March 8. Normal service should resume by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9.
