Westside Subway Extension, Regional Connector Projects To Seek Federal Funding

In a move that places Los Angeles County in contention to receive its fair share of future federal rail funding, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board of Directors today voted to pursue long-term funding agreements through the US. Department of Transportation to build the Westside Subway Extension and Regional Connector projects.

Recent Customer Survey Shows Overwelming Majority of Riders Are Satisfied With Metro Bus and Rail Service

A recently conducted survey of more than 15,000 Metro riders shows that 85 percent of those polled indicated that they either agree or strongly agree that they are satisfied with Metro bus and rail service compared to 15 percent who disagree and 79 percent believed that the Metro bus/rail system is better today than a year ago.

Metro Bus Line 177 Gets Transformed into Better Bus Service for Caltech and JPL Riders in La Canada/Flintridge

For months, representatives from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and transportation management personnel with both Caltech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in the La Canada/Flintridge and Pasadena areas have been working closely to improve service on Metro Local Line 177 (La Canada – Sierra Madre Villa Metro Gold Line Station), which serves the two locations. And the changes implemented in late June of this year seem to be paying off.

Metro Gives Transit Customers Precautions To Avoid Flu

Metro (Metro) is helping its transit patrons avoid getting the flu and other illnesses this season by providing simple, common-sense precautions they can take in their daily lives.
Throughout the month of September, Metro will roll out various efforts under its Flu Prevention Action Plan that communicates flu avoidance information to riders in as many agency channels as possible.
