Go Metro to “Stars Over Paseo Colorado” in Pasadena with Special Guest Buzz Aldrin

Let Metro take you out of this world this month at the “Stars Over Paseo Colorado” celebration at Paseo Colorado in Pasadena from September 12-27. Peruse the photography exhibit, “The World at Night”. As a special project of the International Year of Astronomy, the exhibit will feature photographs of the world’s most recognizable landmarks against the celestial attractions shot by some of the most experienced night sky photographers from around the world. There will also be a “The Sky’s the Limit” Speaker Series every Tuesday evening in September where you can learn more about science, the world, and beyond from special speakers such as astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

Metro Installs Traffic Enforcement Cameras at 14 Eastside Intersections Along New Metro Gold Line Extension to East L.A.

Metro has begun installing traffic enforcement cameras at 14 intersections along the light rail alignment of the new extension of the Metro Gold Line to East Los Angeles to help promote safe driving habits and reduce accidents caused by motorists illegally crossing the tracks against signals.

Metro Installing Turnstile Fare Gates at Four Subway Stations

Metro has begun installing turnstile fare gates at four Metro Red Line subway stations and will monitor progress to make sure passenger traffic moves smoothly while still achieving the goals of preventing fare evasion and improving transit station security.
