Metro Board of Directors Approves Purchase of up to 100 More New 60-Foot High-Capacity Buses

The Board of Directors of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) today approved purchasing up to 100 new 60-foot high capacity, compressed natural gas (CNG) buses from North American Bus Industries. The total procurement is $86,428,426, which includes fareboxes, radios and spare parts.

Construction Activities for the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension Continues in Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles

On Saturday, April 7, 2007, Metro construction crews will do a one-day full street closure due to waterline and utility work on the westbound side of First Street between the northbound 101 Freeway and Gless Street in Boyle Heights for the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension construction project.
