Public Urged to Use County Parking Lots and Ride Metro Trains into Pasadena for Rose Bowl Football Game

Rose Bowl football game organizers are urging the public to consider alternatives to parking in Pasadena for this year's college football game due to a shortage of auxiliary parking caused by recent rains. Fans are encouraged to seek parking in other lots around Metro Gold Line stations and ride the train into Old Pasadena, where shuttles will take them directly from the Parsons Building to the Rose Bowl gates.

Metro Buses, Trains to Operate Sunday Schedules on New Year's Day

(LOS ANGELES) In observance of the New Year's Day holiday, all Metro Bus and Metro Rail lines will operate on Sunday schedules on New Year's Day, Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, with the exception of the Metro Gold Line and Metro Buses serving Pasadena. Additional trains will operate on the Metro Gold Line and additional buses will operate on all Metro Bus lines that serve Pasadena to accommodate passengers attending the Tournament of Rosesâ and Rose Bowl Game.

The Metro Board of Directors has once again given its stamp of approval to the Metro Orange Line transitway project, certifying today a Revised Final Environmental Impact Report (Revised FEIR) for the San Fernando Valley East-West Transit Corridor. A draft version of the report released last month for a 30-day public review concluded that the Metro Orange Line, now under construction in the corridor, is superior to each of three Rapid Bus alternatives studied in the revised report.
