MTA to Offer Free Rides on the Los Angeles to Pasadena Metro Gold Line During Opening Weekend

The MTA Board of Directors today approved free rides on the new Metro Gold Line for the opening weekend of July 26/27. The Los Angeles to Pasadena Metro Gold Line set to open next month spans 13.7 miles linking Union Station in downtown Los Angeles and Sierra Madre Villa in East Pasadena via Chinatown, Highland Park, South Pasadena and Pasadena.

MTA to Implement More Than 20 Bus Line Changes to Serve Metro Gold Line

In anticipation of the Metro Gold Line which opens this summer, MTA has made more than 20 service improvements in the San Gabriel Valley to connect local bus lines with MTA’s newest Metro Rail line, giving MTA customers greater options and convenience when using public transit between Pasadena and downtown Los Angeles.
