MTA to Hold Community Meetings on North-South Bus Transit Alternatives for San Fernando Valley

MTA has scheduled a series of public meetings to discuss potential alternatives for a north-south high capacity bus transit corridor in the San Fernando Valley.  Attendees will hear about the San Fernando Valley North-South Transit Corridor Study underway and will be invited to give input on the alternatives currently under consideration as well as to suggest other alternatives.

Record Breaking Ridership Trend Continues on Metro Blue Line

(Los Angeles) - The Metro Blue Line’s record-breaking run continued in July 2002 as average weekday boardings soared to 73,115. July was the third consecutive month in which average weekday boardings on the 22-mile line surpassed the 70-thousand mark.

First Regional EZpass goes on sale Sunday, August 25

(Los Angeles) - Life is about to get easier for thousands of users of public transit as Los Angeles County's first regional transit pass goes on sale this Sunday, August 25. The Regional EZpass will enable frequent users of multiple systems to board MTA's Metro buses and trains and the buses of 11 municipal operators with a single 'passport.'
