Summary 

As part of the I-5 North County Enhancements Project, Metro’s contractor OHLA-USA, will be working on construction site preparation at the I-5 southbound Lyons Ave / Pico Canyon Rd on-ramp and off-ramp. Activities will include lane restriping and placement of K-rail (temporary construction safety barriers). Work is scheduled for two nights from 7pm through 6am, Wednesday, November 17, and Thursday, November 18, 2021. 

What to Expect  

Two-night closure of the southbound Lyons Ave / Pico Canyon Rd on-ramp and off-ramp. Signage will be posted along the detour routes to guide drivers. Drivers will be rerouted McBean Pkwy or Calgrove Blvd on-ramps and off-ramps to enter and exit the I-5.

Southbound Access Detour:  

  • From Lyons Ave / Pico Canyon Rd 
  • South on Chiquella Ln 
  • South on The Old Rd 
  • East on Calgrove Bl 
  • Enter onto southbound I-5 on-ramp
