San Gabriel Valley Regional Meeting

October 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Please join us on Thursday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m. for a live Zoom tour of The Huntington’s Desert Garden, one of the largest and oldest collections of cacti and other succulents in the world. Stretching at more than 10 acres, with over 3000 plant species, get up close and personal with cacti and other succulents, and learn about their unique characteristics and adaptations.

We will be joined by Kate Zankowicz, Youth, Family Programs, and Community Engagement Manager, at THE HUNTINGTON Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens– a collections-based educational and research institution founded by Henry E. Huntington and Arabella Huntington and located in San Marino, California.

This session will look at:

– Cacti Up Close: A live Zoom tour of The Huntington’s Desert Garden

– Please have a pencil and paper on hand as we will be drawing cacti in the garden from the comfort of our homes. This is an opportunity for all of us to participate and share!
