PLE 1: Subsurface Investigation – Wilshire/Stanley
March 3, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 8:00 am, repeating until March 31, 2022
Starting Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 8am to 7pm, the design builder will be implementing intermittent lane reductions on Wilshire Blvd. between La Cienega Blvd. and Carson Rd. This traffic control will support subsurface investigation work along the tunnel alignment. This weekend investigation work is anticipated to continue for two to three additional weekends. The results of this investigation will determine if additional jet grouting and soil improvement activities will be required within the tunnel tracks. The jet grouting and soil improvement work would commence within a K-Rail enclosure on Wilshire Blvd. between Stanley Dr. and LeDoux Rd. The K-Rail enclosure may be implemented in December, reducing Wilshire Blvd. to two lanes in each direction for approximately 4 months. Additional details on this work will be available in future construction notices.
