Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will implement a closure of southbound Hope St between 2nd St and 3rd St to allow for utility installation and street restoration. Anticipated work hours, weather permitting, are Monday through Friday from 6 am to 3:30pm and 7pm to 3am.
RCC will also begin grade preparation and excavation to install a storm drain on southbound Flower St between 1st St and 3rd St. Work is anticipated to continue for approximately two weeks. Anticipated work hours, weather permitting, are 9 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed.
Additional work may be scheduled at a later date. A supplemental notice will be issued once work is scheduled.
Activities will include set up for traffic, moving of k-rail, installation of new utilities, saw cutting, excavation, encasement, backfill, concrete placement, and street restoration.
Pedestrian access will be maintained outside of the work area. Intermittent sidewalk and crosswalk restrictions at Hope St, 2nd St, GTK Way, Flower St, and 3rd St. Detour: use the alternate route signage.
What to Expect
Access to adjacent businesses will be maintained at all times.
Thru traffic maintained on northbound Hope St.
For access to GTK Way, use Lower Grand, 3rd St, or S Olive St.
Southbound (SB): left on 1st St, right on Grand Av, right on 3rd St, back onto Hope St.
Southbound Flower St:
Thru traffic is maintained.
Lane reductions in place on southbound Flower St between 1st St and 3rd St.
