As part of the I-5 North County Enhancements Project, Metro’s contractor OHLA-USA, will be working on construction site preparation along I-5 from the SR-14 interchange to Lyons Av / Pico Canyon Rd. Activities will include road surveying, restriping of all lanes in both directions, and placement of K-rail (temporary construction safety barriers). Work is scheduled to start at 8 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
What to Expect
Nighttime work between 8 pm and 6 am, beginning on Thursday, November 4, 2021, though Saturday, January 15, 2022. Nightly northbound and southbound intermittent lane closures along I-5, between the SR-14 interchange and Lyons Ave / Pico Canyon Rd.

- Lane closures between 8 pm and 6 am, Monday through Friday.
- All lanes will be reopened by 6 am each morning.
- Traffic will be maintained in each direction.
- No lane closures will be implemented during AM or PM peak traffic hours.
