Civil improvements & material delivery on Flower St

An event every week that begins at 6:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until November 30, 2021
Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will continue pre-restoration work and material delivery planned for Flower St, between 3rd St and Wilshire Bl.
RCC will continue civil improvements, sidewalk removal and restoration at the Flower St intersections on 3rd St and 4th St.
RCC will also begin sidewalk restoration on Flower St between 4th St and 5th St as early as Wednesday, November 24, 2021. The east sidewalk on Flower St between 4th St and 5th St will be reduced. Pedestrians will be detoured outside the construction zone.
Work hours, weather permitting, are 6 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday from 6 am to 6 pm. This notice will continue to be updated with additional restoration activities as necessary.
Activities will include traffic control set up, equipment mobilization, curb/sidewalk demo, installation of ADA ramps, signal lights installation, curb/sidewalk restoration, utility installation, installation/removal of chain link fencing, and delivery/removal of backfill and materials.
What to Expect
- Thru traffic is maintained.
- Intermittent lane restrictions on southbound Flower St, between 3rd and 5th St.
- Eastbound 4th St will be reduced to a right turn only during work hours between Figueroa and Flower St.
- Access to pedestrian walkways and nearby businesses will be maintained outside of the work area.
This work is being coordinated with other activities in the area to minimize impacts to the community.
