Produced by the agency’s art program, Metro Art Presents showcases free arts and cultural programs at historic Union Station. The diverse, all ages programming is designed to creatively activate the landmark station, engage the Los Angeles community and attract new riders.

Union Station 75th Anniversary
Tens of thousands attended events on Saturday, May 3, 2014 to celebrate Metro’s Union Station 75th anniversary and Amtrak’s National Train Day. Attendees listened to inspirational words from numerous transit leaders and elected officials, enjoyed live entertainment, and toured real and vintage trains and rail cars for a behind-the-scenes look at Amtrak passenger operations. Other attractions included model train displays, the ChuggingtonTM Kids Depot, new photographic light box art installations and 39 exhibitors, including Metro programs like TAP, ExpressLanes, Safety and Bike Metro. Attendees also explored the area via rail with Metrolink offering free rides to Glendale and the Annenberg Foundation providing free TAP cards.
