Sales Instructions & Conditions

Metro reserves the rights to reject any or all offers, or to waive any informality in bids, and to accept or reject any items thereon.

The successful bidder is required to make payment by cashier's or certified check made payable to the MTA covering all items awarded to him/her. Payment to be made in full prior to time of starting to remove the items purchased.  Certified weight tickets must be submitted along with the check, wherever applicable.

ALL sales are made "AS IS," "WHERE IS," "WITH ALL FAULTS." No implied warranties or merchantability of fitness are made. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description of the face hereof. Buyer is relying on his/her own judgment after personal examination.

Sales tax of 8.25% will be charged on all items unless the buyer furnishes a resale permit number.

Metro employees are not allowed to bid on any items listed in bids. Metro employees, members of the Board of Directors and all Metro consultants are subject to the Authority's CODE OF CONDUCT. A copy is available for review in the Procurement Department, One Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles, California 90012. Or under Code of Conducts in the Metro Ethics and Lobbyist Registration section of the Metro web site.
