NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
PROPOSED FY2019 BUDGET
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will hold a public hearing on its proposed FY2019 budget (July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019) at 12:00pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. The meeting will be held in the MTA Board Room on the 3rd floor of the Gateway Plaza Building, One Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90012, which is located adjacent to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.
To solicit additional input from the public and stakeholders regarding the annual budget, budget workshops are scheduled in April with Metro Service Councils, Citizens Advisory Council, Policy Advisory Council, Technical Advisory Committee, Bus Operations Subcommittee, Streets & Freeways Subcommittee, and Local Transit Systems Subcommittee. In addition, social media, an interactive budget tool and a website are available for the public to participate in the process.
Interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the upcoming public hearing or any of the above mentioned meetings to provide testimony. Persons unable to attend may submit written testimony postmarked or transmitted through May 11, 2018. Copies of the budget document will be available for public distribution 15 days in advance of the hearing and may be obtained from the Records Management Center (RMC) via e-mail request to RMC@metro.net. Copies of the budget document may also be picked up at RMC on the Plaza level of the Gateway Building, or viewed online at http://www.metro.net.
