Living Wage and Service Contract Worker Retention Policy

The Service Contract Worker Retention Policy (SCWRP) requires that qualifying service contracts provide for the continuation of work for employees working a contract that is closing. The successor contractor must retain eligible employees from the predecessor contractor for ninety (90) days under the new contract. At the end of the ninety (90) days, retained employees who receive a satisfactory performance evaluation can potentially offered continued employment on the successor contract.
