Transit Safety Program
Our goal is to increase public awareness and knowledge among residents and employees of Los Angeles County on how to live and work safely around Metro’s rail system.
Transit Safety Programs is focused on making a lasting impression on our audiences through several components:
safety education outreach
along Metro Rail Lines (safety training presentations, safety orientation tours for grades 1 – 12, and participation at community events and activities, and involvement in safety task force committees and community organizations),
On the Move Riders Club
(geared for older adults)
Safety Ambassador Program
Our team is also involved with preparing new communities on safely co-existing with our Metro tracks and trains. Upcoming rail projects include the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension to Azusa and the Metro Expo Line Phase 2 to Santa Monica.
