Out of an abundance of caution, and following the most recent public health guidelines, Metro is cancelling all Rail Safety Orientation Tours (RSOT). We will be in constant communication with all scheduled trips and tours to assure future availability. Please feel free address your questions/concerns to us at TransitSafetyPGM@metro.net . You may also contact us at (213) 922-4080.
Metro’s Community Education Team leads hands-on Rail Safety Orientation Tours. Interested groups must first schedule their Rail Safety Presentation prior to going on any trip. Once the presentation has taken place, the teacher will complete an online presentation survey and then proceed to fill out the RSOT request form. All requests must be submitted three weeks prior to the desired date of the safety tour. Please allow up to 3 business days for a MCE representative to confirm your trip. Tours are not provided to children under age five. No strollers are allowed on trips. Schools must provide a minimum of one teacher/chaperone per ten students. Tours are conducted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Group will receive a Day Pass to explore the Metro system.
Tours last approximately 90 minutes with an introduction to light and heavy rail. For more information or to schedule a tour contact us at 213-922-4080 or email TransitSafetyPGM@metro.net
