Artist: Walter Hood

WALTER HOOD has exhibited his work at venues that include the Oakland Museum of California, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Van Allen Institute. He has completed public art projects for the San Jose Public Art Program, Cornerstone gardens and the Hyde Park Community Center among others and recent installed artworks include "Wilmington Coastlines," "Frame Refrain," and "Bi-City Biennale in Shenzen." He has received the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award, served as the Goldman Sachs Design Fellow for the Smithsonian Institute and is on the board of the American Academy in Rome. Hood holds a Master of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago; a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina A & T State University.
