I live in Culver City and it's central to the things I want to be around: shops, banks and grocery stores. Sometimes I have to meet people outside of Culver City, and I suggest meeting in either Santa Monica (for the out-of-towners) or Koreatown (for the locals). I take the Metro Local Line 33 or the Rapid Line 733 and it takes me exactly where I want to go. Metro takes me to the hustle and bustle of the 3rd Street Promenade and the relaxing coffee shops of Koreatown. I couldn't ask for a better public transportation system.
