Parking is the worst. In Los Angeles, parking is akin to sitting through jury duty; it takes a long time, you lose money, but it's something you just have to put up with...unless you ride Metro. I've been living in LA for three years without a car now, and Metro has become one of my most trustworthy friends. The Metro rail is always there, and I can depend on it to be on time without fail. The Metro Red Line takes me from my home in Los Feliz to my work in Downtown every day, and the Gold Line takes me to the doctor, dentist, or out for some shopping in Old Town Pasadena. Living in Los Angeles has got me going Red and Gold for life.
