REASON:  AMGEN 2012 BIKE TOUR

To avoid above ground delays & detours: Use Metro Rail to travel through and around impacted areas. In anticipation for increased Metro Rail ridership and bicycles during Amgen, Metro Rail will run with longer length trains on Sunday, May 20:

• Regular bus service on some lines will be restored as the event progresses and roads reopen, but full service on all lines is not expected to resume until approximately early evening. 
• Expect residual delays to continue through the evening on all impacted bus routes.
• Impacted passengers & spectators are encouraged to use Metro Rail when possible to avoid delays and detours. 
• Longer trains will be in operation on Metro Rail for the event.
• Please use entire platform length when boarding for more seating availability.

LINE 2 -  BETWEEN BEVERLY HILLS & PAC COAST HWY

EASTBOUND: Regular route to Sunset Blvd. and Benedict Canyon Dr., then continue via Sunset Blvd. to (R)-Beverly Dr., (L) Canon Dr., (L) Park Way, (R) Crescent Dr., (R) Santa Monica  Blvd. to temporary layover zone on Santa Monica Blvd. between Crescent Dr. and Canon Dr. If temporary layover zone is full, continue via Santa Monica Blvd., (R) Canon Dr. to alternate layover zone north of Santa Monica Blvd.  

WESTBOUND:  Depart temporary layover zone via Santa Monica Blvd., (R) Canon Dr., (R)-Beverly Dr., (L) Sunset Blvd. and regular route.

* NOTE: All buses operating between Beverly Hills and Pacific Coast Highway - Do not shortline in Westwood.

LINE 2 - BETWEEN BEVERLY HILLS AND DOWNTOWN L.A.

EASTBOUND: Depart temporary layover zone at Canon Dr. and Brighton Way via Canon Dr., (L) Wilshire Blvd., (L) La Cienega Blvd., (R) Santa Monica Blvd.  Make last passenger stop at Vermont Ave. nearside (Santa Monica/Vermont Red Line Station).  Then continue via Santa Monica Blvd., (R) Vermont Ave., (R) Melrose Ave.,(R)-New Hampshire Ave. (R) Monroe St. to temporary layover zone.

WESTBOUND: Depart temporary layover zone via Monroe St. to (L) Vermont Ave., (L) - Santa Monica Blvd.  Board patrons at farside bus zone after turn, then continue via Santa Monica Blvd. to (L) La Cienega Blvd., (R) Wilshire Blvd., (R) Crescent Dr., (L) Brighton Way, (L) Canon Dr. to temporary layover zone south of Brighton Way.  

LINE 4

EASTBOUND: Regular route to Santa Monica and New Hampshire St. then alight last passenger at Vermont Ave. nearside (Santa Monica/Vermont Red Line Station).  Then continue via Santa Monica Blvd., (R) Vermont Ave., (L) Melrose Ave., (L) Virgil Ave., (L) Santa Monica Blvd. to temporary layover zone at Vermont Ave. farside.

WESTBOUND: Depart temporary layover zone at Santa Monica Blvd. and Vermont Ave. via Santa Monica Blvd and regular route.

EASTBOUND:   Regular route to Temple St. and Beaudry Ave. then (R) Figueroa St., (R) 110 fwy south on ramp, 110 south, exit 10 fwy east, (R) Maple St. off ramp, (L) Maple St., (L) 17^th St. (L) Main St. and regular route.

WESTBOUND:  Regular route to Main St. and  Washington Blvd. then continue (L) 17^th St. onto 110 fwy north on ramp, 110 fwy north, merge right onto 101 fwy south, exit Temple St. off ramp., (R) Temple St. and regular route.

SOUTHBOUND:  Regular route to Ventura Blvd. and Vineland Ave., then continue Via Ventura Blvd. to (L) Campo de Cahuenga, and (R) into Universal City Red Line Station terminal.  Discharge passengers and proceed to layover zone.

SOUTHBOUND: Regular route to Barham Blvd. and Cahuenga Blvd. East, then continue via Barham Blvd. to (R) Cahuenga Blvd. West - Ventura Blvd., (R) Campo de Cahuenga, and (R) into Universal City Red Line Station terminal.  Discharge passengers and proceed to layover zone.
