New Year's Eve Modified Overnight 24-Hour Service

Description

Blue Line: December 31 into January 1: trains will operate Overnight 24-Hour service every 20 minutes after the last regularly scheduled train of the night and continuing until the first regularly scheduled train the following morning.  However, due to a New Year’s Eve event in Downtown Long Beach, from 7pm through 3am, southbound trains from Los Angeles will only travel as far south as 1st St Station, with every other train ending at Willow. 

  • Downtown Long Beach Station will be closed. 
  • Pacific Ave Station will be served by a shuttle train from Anaheim St Station.
  • Service will run every 10 min btwn 7th St/Metro Ctr-Willow St, then every 20 min btwn Willow-1st St.
  • This means every other southbound train will end at Willow St and return to Los Angeles.

Customers are reminded that Metro Rail, Orange & Silver Lines will operate special OVERNIGHT 24-HOUR SERVICE until beginning of service New Year's Day 1/1 & FREE from 9pm 12/31 thru 2am 1/1. Metro Day Pass is valid until 3am.
