Metro Gold Line

Monday through Thursday, August 24-28, due to maintenance, trains to Union Station will run 2 minutes later than regular schedule between 8:34pm and 11:54pm. Metro apologizes for any inconvenience.

Extension of Free Parking for Metro Gold Line Users at Del Mar Station

Attention Metro Customers:

Metro has made arrangements with the City of Pasadena to extend the City's free parking program at Del Mar Station. The free parking program will be extended until the parking structure at Fillmore Station is available for use.When complete, the Fillmore parking structure will contain 160 parking spaces for Gold Line riders.

To park for free at Del Mar Station all you need to do is present your Metro fare media to the parking attendant upon exiting. If you don not present your Metro fare media to the parking attendant, you will be charged for parking at the Del Mar garage's posted rates.

Please look for further updates regarding completion of the Fillmore parking structure and cessation of the free parking program at Del Mar Station. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you require further assistance, please contact Metro Customer Relations at (213) 922-6235.

Metro Red/Purple Line

Thursday, August 21, after 9pm, all Purple Line passengers must transfer at Wilshire/Vermont. At Wilshire/Vermont, Purple Line trains use the lower level, Red Line trains to Union Station on the upper level and Red Line trains to North Hollywood on the lower level.  Shuttle trains leave Wilshire/Western 2 minutes later than regular schedule after 9:04pm. Red Line trains to North Hollywood leave 4 minutes earlier than regular schedule between 8:53pm and 11:53pm, then at 12:17am. Red Line trains to Union Station leave 4 minutes later than regular schedule between 8:38pm and 11:38pm, then at 12:02am, 12:14am, 12:34am and 12:54am.

Tuesday through Friday morning, August 26-29, overnight between 10:00pm and 6:00am, both elevators at Wilshire/Vermont Station will be out of service for maintenance. During these time periods:

  • All passengers traveling to Wilshire/Vermont who require use of the elevators will need to get off the train at Westlake/MacArthur Station to either board Metro Bus Line 20 or 720 to continue to Wilshire/Vermont.

  • All passengers transferring from the Red Line to the Purple Line who require use of an elevator, ride to Westlake/MacArthur and change trains at that location.

Sunday through Thursday, August 24-28, due to maintenance after 9pm, all Red Line trains to Union Station will leave North Hollywood 3 minutes earlier than regular schedule from 8:51pm until 12:11am, then 12:34am and 12:54am. Red Line trains to North Hollywood and all Purple Line trains will run according to regular schedules. Metro apologizes for any inconvenience.
