Car Sharing Program
Car sharing allows employees who rideshare to have a car at work for off-site meetings or emergencies. Members share the use of a fleet of vehicles that can be accessed on an as-needed basis. Members pay an hourly rate, which covers the cost of gasoline, insurance, maintenance, and – of course – the car.
Some employers contract with a car sharing company for a specified number of hours per month of vehicle use. When employees want to use a vehicle, they check out a car for a block of time from a convenient location and return it when they are done. Cars are available 24 hours a day and can be booked for as little as one hour.
