  • Manchester Bl. 715 operates between LAX and South Gate via Manchester & Firestone boulevards
  • San Fernando-Lankershim 724 operates between the Sylmar Metrolink Station & North Hollywood via San Fernando Rd. & Lankershim
  • Pico 730 operates between downtown Los Angeles and Pico Rimpau via Pico Bl.
  • Central 753 operates between downtown Los Angeles and the Imperial Green/Blue Line Station via Central Av.
  • Atlantic 762 operates between Pasadena and the Artesia Blue Line Station via Fair Oaks & Atlantic.
  • San Fernando 794 operates between downtown Los Angeles and the Burbank Metrolink Station via San Fernando Rd. & Brand Bl.

The Metro Rapid program debuted on Wilshire-Whittier (Metro Rapid 720) and Ventura boulevards (Metro Rapid 750) in June 2000.

Additional lines were added as follows:

  • Vermont Av. and South Broadway (Vermont Metro Rapid Line 754 and South Broadway Metro Rapid Line 745, December 2002)
  • Florence Av. and Van Nuys Bl. (Florence Metro Rapid Line 711 and Van Nuys Metro Rapid Line 761, June 2003)
  • Crenshaw Bl. (Crenshaw Metro Rapid Line 710, February 2004)
  • Vernon-La Cienega and Soto St. (Vernon-La Cienega Metro Rapid Line 705 and Soto Metro Rapid Line 751, June 2004)
  • Hollywood-Pasadena, Fairfax, (Hollywood-Pasadena Metro Rapid Line 780, Fairfax Metro Rapid Line 717) and Hawthorne Bl. (Hawthorne Metro Rapid Line 740, December 2004) 

    Metro later combined Metro Rapid lines 780 (Hollywood/Glendale/ Pasadena) and 717 (Fairfax Rapid) from the West Los Angeles Transit Center to Pasadena.  The line has been renumbered to Metro Rapid 780
  • Beverly and Lincoln boulevards (Beverly Metro Rapid Line 714 and Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus Rapid 3 Line, June 2005)
  • Western Av. (Metro Rapid Line 757, December, 2005)
  • Sepulveda Bl. (Metro Rapid Line 734, June 2006)
  • Reseda Bl. (Metro Rapid Line 741, December, 2006)
  • Santa Monica Bl. (Metro Rapid Line 704) and Long Beach Bl. (Metro Rapid Line 760), June, 2007
  • Metro Rapid Express service also rolled out in June, 2007 with the 920 serving Wilshire Bl.  Rapid Express operates during rush hours only, getting you there faster with fewer stops.
  • West Olympic (Metro Rapid Line 728) and Garvey-Chavez (Metro Rapid Line 770), December, 2007
