Where we are Now
Our consulting team, led by InfraConsult LLC, has finished the first phases of screening of a total of 81 projects, and has identified seven transit and seven highway projects as the best projects for continuing consideration for private sector participation. (Please click on the link to the Board Report dated October 14, 2009, Item 9 to see the list of 14 projects.)
Of these 14 projects, we recommend an initial six projects be considered for more in-depth strategic assessments and development of project-specific business cases. The remaining eight projects on the list could be analyzed in the future. The initial six projects are: I-710 South including the I-710 South Early Action Projects; Crenshaw Transit Corridor; SR-710 North Extension; High Desert Corridor; Regional Connector; and the Metro Red Line Westside Subway Extension: Wilshire/Western Station to Westwood via the Wilshire Boulevard alignment.
Upon Board authorization to proceed, we will be meeting with the staff and consultant teams who are currently developing the above-referenced projects, to assess project status and collaborate on aspects which could accelerate project delivery and facilitate private sector participation.
