Metro held three Community Open House meetings about the Final Environmental Impact Statement/Final Environmental Impact Statement Report (FEIS/FEIR) for the Westside Subway Extension on March 26, 28 and 29, 2012.
On April 26, 2012 the Metro Board of Directors approved the Final EIS/EIR for the Westside Subway Extension and approved the first 3.9 miles of the project to La Cienega.
On May 17th, Metro held a special meeting to conduct a hearing at the request of the City of Beverly Hills. Due to the lengthy presentations by Beverly Hills' City consultants and counsel, Metro was unable to accept public comments prior to the close of the special meeting. On Thursday, May 24th, Metro will reconvene the special meeting to receive the public comments of those who submitted speaker cards on May 17th. Following the conclusion of the special meeting, the Metro Board will conduct its regularly scheduled meeting where it will consider issuing a decision and findings from the hearing and approving the remaining station locations and alignment for the Westside Subway Extension project.
