Signal Synchronization Training

Traffic Signal Operation & Maintenance Workshops

Metro had a comprehensive program in the areas of Signal Operation and Maintenance to upgrade the skills of local traffic engineers and signal maintenance personnel.

The agency had used Call for Projects funding to invest in Traffic System Management (TSM) training programs throughout the County. TSM training is supported by the Signal Support Group and is considered an important element in achieving congestion relief objectives and maintaining the skills of signal personnel.

The Signal Synchronization Program offered by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has been discontinued due to a lack of grant funds. If you are still interested in taking Signal Synchronization courses, please contact UC Berkeley through the Technology Transfer Program a Division of the Institute of Transportation.

For your convenience, refer to the website noted below to learn about upcoming training sessions. http://www.techtransfer.berkeley.edu
