El Contratista continúa trabajando en las mejoras de la calle en el lado este de la avenida Canoga entre las calles Vanowen y Prairie. Como parte de este trabajo el Contratista hará la integración del sistema de drenaje en la intersección de avenida Canoga y Sherman Way.

The Contractor continues to work on the street improvements along the easterly side of Canoga Avenue from Vanowen Street to Prairie Street. As part of this work the Contractor will do the drainage system tie-in at the intersection of Canoga Avenue and Sherman Way.

Area: Existing Metro Orange Line Busway between De Soto Station and Canoga Station

Currently the Contractor is constructing the busway for the Metro Orange Line Extension Project. To complete this work the Contractor will need to demolish and rebuild a portion of the existing Metro Orange Line busway between De Soto Station and Canoga Station. This work is required to incorporate the Metro Orange Line Extension to the Metro Orange Line. As a result of this work, Winnetka Station, De Soto Station and Canoga Station platforms will be temporarily out of service and bus stops will be temporarily relocated one block south to Victory Blvd.

As part of the continuing construction of the Metro Orange Line Extension, the Contractor will be constructing the busway and bikeway along the easterly side of Canoga Ave. These activities require the reconfiguration of traffic lanes and the placement of concrete barriers (k-rail) to isolate the work zone.

Area: Bus Rapid Transit crossings on Saticoy St. and Canoga Ave

As part of the continuing construction activities for the Metro Orange Line Extension, the Contractor will be reconstructing Saticoy St. from Canoga Ave. to Deering Ave. As part of this activity the contractor will remove the asphalt and place new Portland Cement Concrete and new asphalt concrete pavement on Saticoy St. The closure will not affect north-south traffic along Canoga Ave.

The Contractor continues to work on the street improvements along the easterly side of Canoga Av from Vanowen St to Prairie St. As part of this work the Contractor will perform traffic signal work on multiple intersections along Canoga Av, this work requires traffic signal shutdown.

The Contractor continues to work on the street improvements along the easterly side of Canoga Avenue from Vanowen Street to Prairie Street. As part of this work the Contractor will be installing the drainage system in Sherman Way just east of Canoga Avenue.

To accommodate the removal of a DWP power pole and the installation of traffic sensor loops on Valerio the street will remain closed until Friday, December 9, 2011.

The Contractor continues to work on the street improvements on the east side of Canoga Ave. at Valerio St. The Contractor will reopen Valerio St. from Canoga Ave. to Deering Ave. The Contractor will place concrete barriers (k-rail) to isolate the work zone.

 The Contractor continues to work on the street improvements along the easterly side of Canoga Avenue from Vanowen Street to Prairie Street. As part of this work the Contractor will be installing the duct bank across Sherman Way just east of Canoga Avenue.

The Contractor continues to work on the street improvements on the east side of Canoga Ave. at Valerio St. To expedite the work in the immediate area the Contractor will close Valerio St. from Canoga Ave. to Deering Ave. This new traffic configuration will be in effect for approximately two months. The Contractor will place concrete barriers (k-rail) to isolate the work zone.

The construction notice is regarding the south parking lot located at the Chatsworth Metrolink Station will be used as a construction staging area beginning Thursday, October 28, 2010. Parking is available on the north parking lot of the station.

As part of the pre-construction activities for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project, the Contractor will conduct a soil stability test near the Getty View Trailhead running along the northbound I-405 freeway between Getty Center Dr and Skirball Center Dr. This work activity is being conducted to survey and monitor the stability of the soil for the future construction of a retaining wall along the I-405 Freeway. Night time work for this activity will require freeway lane closures and ramp closures to facilitate the safe use of excavation equipment.
