Area: Temporary Terminal area of the El Monte Station
Construction activity at the El Monte Station will require a closure of the Busway into and out of El Monte Station and the closure of the north entrance/exit. In addition to work at the El Monte Station, Ramona Bl, west of Santa Anita Av, will be repaved during the 4 week closure period beginning at approximately 2:30am May 14, 2012.

Area: MTA Way entrance to Parking Lot B
Due to expanded construction for the new El Monte Station, the MTA Way entrance to parking Lot B will be closed beginning at 6:00am Saturday, May 5, 2012, until further notice. Cars can still park in all lots, but will need to enter parking Lots B and C from Santa Anita Av or from the westbound I-10 freeway on-ramp lot entrance.

Area: El Monte Station
We have restriped parking lot C (closest to the 10 Freeway) to provide an additional 30 parking spaces. In addition, the City of El Monte has made available for immediate use overflow parking in lots 1 through 5 as indicated in the map.
We thank you for your patience and your continued patronage. We will update you with information on additional parking spaces when they become available.

Area: El Monte Station on Santa Anita Av
To address the impact on parking during construction phasing of the new El Monte Station, Metro is working with the City of El Monte to identify and secure additional customer parking as soon as feasible. We will update our customers when plans for additional parking have been identified. Thank you for your patience as we work to construct a new and improved El Monte Station.

Area: Construction of the El Monte Station
The former El Monte Station has now been closed and will be demolished and reconstructed over the next 18 – 20 months. A temporary bus terminal has been established as of September 12, and will be used for all bus operations until the new station is completed. The temporary terminal is located near the intersection of Ramona and Santa Anita in an area that was previously one of the parking lots for the station.
