Home > Projects & Programs > I-405 Sepulveda Pass ... > Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
The Community Advisory Committee is composed of one representative from Home Owner Associations, Neighborhood Councils and Institutions adjacent to the I-405 Freeway.
The initial purpose of the CAC was to serve as a mechanism to finalize design on the aesthetic elements of the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project, by presenting preliminary design concepts and soliciting feedback from each of their respective groups.
After a preliminary presentation and subsequent working session with the CAC, the Contractor incorporated CAC feedback and prepared final design concepts to be presented at an Open House. The elements included: sound walls, retaining walls, undercrossing bridges, overcrossing bridges (Mulholland, Sunset and Skirball) and landscape.
Following the Open House, the CAC voiced an interest in continuing their role as liaisons for their respective groups. They will work closely with the project team on issues related to construction. As liaisons, they will funnel queries from individuals in their area. CAC meetings will take place on the fourth Thursday of each month.
