'Lifeline' Transit Service Operating in Los Angeles County during Labor Strike

MTA updates the following information about "lifeline" transit services available in Los Angeles County on a daily basis, or as changes occur.

LAX<>Huntington Park

Emulates Metro Rapid 711 - Makes all Metro Rapid stops along Florence Avenue from Pacific to LAX.

Weekdays: 25-passenger vans operated by Prime Time depart every 8-10 minutes from 6 a..m to 8 p.m. 

 


Ventura Freeway shuttle

New! Stops at Universal City Metro Red Line Station Park 'n Ride lot.

Point-to-point service via the 101 Fwy > Warner Center  at Owensmouth/Oxnard to Universal City Station Park 'n Ride lot to Union Station at Cesar Chavez/ Vignes. 

7-passenger vans operated by Prime Time depart every 15-20 minutes from approx. 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekdays.

Connects to LADOT/Dash and other buses operating in the downtown area.

Metro Blue Line Shuttle

Metro Blue Line Artesia Station to Union Station via 91 Fwy and 110 Fwy.

7-passenger vans operated by Prime Time depart every 15-20 minutes from approx. 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekdays.

Connects to LADOT/Dash and other buses operating in the downtown area.


Harbor Freeway shuttle 

Non-stop service-  Artesia Transit Center at Artesia Blvd. and Harbor 110 Fwy. Station to Gateway Transit Center along the 110 Freeway

7-passenger vans operated by Prime Time depart every 5-10 minutes from approx. 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekdays.

Connects to LADOT/Dash and other buses operating in the downtown area.


Metro Green Line shuttle 

Non-stop service- Metro Green Line Norwalk Station to Aviation Station

Departs every 15-20 minutes from approx. 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Weekdays.

El Segundo Employment Center

East Los Angeles Union Station Express

Non-stop service between East Los Angeles Civic Center at 3rd/La Verne and Gateway Transit Center at Union Station.

Departs every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour from both points; Mon-Fri 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sat. 9 am-5 pm

Connects to El Sol Shuttle and Montebello Bus Lines in East LA

El Monte Station to Union Station Local  

Now on weekends; 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Makes all MTA stops along the route between El Monte Bus Terminal and Union Station via Garvey and USC Medical Center 

Daily. Various charter and school buses run every 20 minutes between 6 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.  and on weekends from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Connects to Montebello and Monterey Park in East LA, Foothill at County/USC

Pico Boulevard Shuttle

Now operates 
6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Weekday shuttle operates between the Pico/Rimpau Transit Center and Union Station, serving all stops along the way.

Departs every 15 minutes: 6 a.m.- 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Does not enter Gateway Transit Center; ends at Cesar Chavez/Vignes.

Red Line Special (Buses are operated by Metrolink) 

Route A: Gateway Transit Plaza to Wilshire/Vermont Station


Route B: Gateway Transit Plaza to 7th Street Metro Center Station. 

Weekdays from 6 a.m. to approx. 8:30 p.m.

Connects to LADOT/Dash and other buses operating in the downtown area.

Vermont Ave. Shuttle

New! Metro Rapid Bus Line 754 emulator along Vermont Ave.

Full-size buses depart every 10 minutes serving all Metro Rapid stops along Vermont Ave. between 120th St. and Sunset Blvd.

Weekdays - every 10 minutes from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Connects to Red Line Special at Wilshire/Vermont Metro Red Line Station. Hollywood and hospital facilities at Vermont/Sunset Metro Red Line Station.
