Sick of High Gas Prices? Share Ideas for Going Car-less in Los Angeles County this Summer during Pam O'Connor's Next Live Chat this Wednesday, June 18

  • Metro Board Chair Pam O'Connor's sixth live internet chat will be at noon, at metro.net/chat

Sick of high gas prices? Go car-less in LA County this summer. Share ideas for summer "stay-cations" that involve Metro and other mass transit options. Excursions can be to public places like great neighborhoods, parks or libraries. They can be beautiful rides, such as the Metro Line 2 bus down Sunset Boulevard to the Pacific at sunset. Ideas can include interesting coffee shops, bookstores etc., or interesting people you've met along the way, such as Metro operators and fellow passengers. Just sign on to metro.net/chat and tell Metro Board Chair Pam O'Connor the best vacation places to Go Metro this summer. It's all for a great cause: Gas avoidance.

Chair O'Connor will also be available to discuss the potential half cent sales tax dedicated to LA County transit projects and other transportation issues. Talk to her noon to 1 p.m. or send in advance questions through metro.net/chat.
