Go Metro to Noah's Ark at the Skirball and Get a January Discount

Allow the kids to touch this and touch that at the Skirball Cultural Center's Noah’s Ark exhibit. And throughout the month of January, if you show a valid Metro ticket or pass at the box office you can get $2 off the price of any admission.

For the entire family, the exhibit is hands-on fun. And for Mom and Dad it’s "hands off" the steering wheel, because Metro can do the driving. Use the Trip Planner at metro.net or call 1-800-COMMUTE to find the route that’s best for you. The Skirball is at 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles, 90049. Metro Rapid bus 761 stops right in front.

Inspired by the ancient flood story, the Noah's Ark exhibit invites visitors to board a gigantic wooden ark and to play, climb, build, discover, nurture, problem-solve and collaborate alongside handcrafted, one-of-a-kind animals -- 186 species -- ranging from life-size elephants and giraffes to snow leopards, flamingos and iguanas.

Five years in the making and occupying an 8,000-square-foot gallery space, Noah's Ark at the Skirball will remain on view permanently. But starting in February, the special Metro $2 discount deal will be applied to Bob Dylan's American Journey, 1956-1966, which opens Feb. 8 and runs through June 8 at the Skirball.

In the meantime, hands on fun with Noah’s Ark awaits at the Skirball, and it’s ‘hands off’ the steering wheel when you Go Metro. For more information on the Skirball Center go to www.skirball.org.
