New Shuttle to
Dodger Stadium Makes It Easy to
Taking MTA's Metro
Rail to the ball game became that much easier with the recent announcement
that the Los Angeles Dodgers will be offering a bus shuttle from Union
Station in downtown Los Angeles to selected Dodger baseball games this
season. Baseball bound patrons
using the Metro Rail system can now access the new Dodger Roundtripper
Station to Stadium Shuttle by simply taking the Metro Red Line subway to
Union Station. The shuttle, provided
by the Dodgers and operated by First Transit, will operate on Opening Day,
April 7 and every Friday that the Dodgers have a scheduled home game. Patrons can board the
shuttle at Berth 9 at Union Station's Patsaouras Transit Plaza. The
shuttle will travel west, taking Elysian Park through Gate A and dropping
fans off at a specially designated stop in lot 13 of Dodger Stadium. Cost
for the round trip is $2. MTA Metro passes are not accepted on the
shuttle. Buses will leave Union
Station every 10 minutes or less from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Return service
from Dodger Stadium will begin no later than the top of the 8th
inning. The last bus will leave 30 minutes after the last out, but no
later than 11 p.m. MTA's Metro Rail
system spans nearly 60 miles linking Long Beach, Norwalk, El Segundo,
North Hollywood, Universal City, Hollywood, Los Angeles and all points in
between. Debuting this summer will be a 13.7-mile extension of the Metro
Rail system with the opening of the Metro Gold Line from Los Angeles to
