Metro San Fernando Valley Service Sector Improvements


MTA to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Service Changes 
in the San Fernando Valley

MTA will hold a public hearing to discuss proposed service changes that are planned for implementation in June 2003 or later that will enhance bus service in the San Fernando Valley.

The public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. at the Van Nuys State Building, located at 6150 Van Nuys Boulevard in Van Nuys.

In addition to bus service modifications, Metro San Fernando Valley Service Sector staff will discuss two new Metro Rapid Bus lines proposed for Van Nuys Boulevard and Florence Avenue.

The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on proposed service restructuring. The proposals under consideration in the San Fernando Valley are listed below.

These proposals may be approved in whole or part at a date following the public hearing. Approved changes would become effective on or about the program dates shown. Interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the upcoming hearing and provide testimony on these matters.

Persons unable to attend either hearing may submit written testimony postmarked through January 18, 2003. All testimony presented will be transmitted to the appropriate Sector for inclusion in their public record.
