Metro Motion Cable TV Show Provides 30-Minute Close-up on MTA Transportation Programs, Services
You say you don’t
know much about the Metro Freeway Service Patrol, the soon-to-be-opened
Metro Gold Line or the Regional EZpass? How about the future San Fernando
Valley East-West Transitway, Metro Art program or vanpooling? You can find out about
these and many other MTA programs, projects and services on the second
installment of Metro Motion, a 30-minute cable television show
which debuts Saturday, Nov. 23 on CityTV, the City of Santa Monica’s
cable television channel, and Monday, Nov. 25 on cable television channel
LA36 in the City of Los Angeles. All shows in the Metro
Motion series cover general countywide transportation topics. This
second show will also spotlight projects in North Los Angeles County, a
large portion of which is represented on the MTA Board by Lancaster Mayor
Frank Roberts who is the subject of an interview. Schedule of programming
Metro Motion is
a joint production of MTA and CityTV. Patterned after CityTV’s Santa
Monica Update, Metro Motion employs a news program format with
two anchors, field reporters and an interview segment. In addition, three
public service announcements describe free services provided by MTA,
including the Metro Freeway Service Patrol, the 1-800-COMMUTE customer
relations line which provides information about MTA and other bus/rail
service and schedules in Los Angeles County, and the Metro Trip Planner on
MTA’s web site at www.mta.net. MTA-106 |
