MTA to Detour 46 Bus Lines During Third Annual Los Angeles Triathlon Sunday Sept. 8 MTA will detour 46 bus lines on Sunday,
September 8, as Los Angeles holds its third annual Triathlon though the
streets of Los Angeles. Several thousand swimmers, bike riders
and runners will take part in this year’s event through a 31-mile
course. Many Metro bus lines will experience
delays and detours in the downtown Los Angeles area as well as in Echo
Park, Hollywood, Fairfax, West Los Angeles and Venice areas of the region. Signs will be posted at every MTA bus
stop directing passengers to the nearest boarding location. Buses will be
rerouted between 6 a.m. and approximately 12 noon on Sunday, September 8. All Metro Rail lines will run as
scheduled without any interruption. Passengers are urged to take Metro
Rail when possible to avoid delays in
bus service resulting from the Triathlon. The 46 MTA Metro bus lines to be detoured
include: Lines 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 14, 16, 18, 20, 26, 28, 30, 31, 33, 37,
38, 40, 42, 45, 48, 51, 52, 53, 55, 58, 60, 66, 68, 70, 71, 76, 78, 79,
81, 83, 84, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 96, 362, 401, 434, & 460. For specific route and schedule
