Go Metro to L.A. Kings Home Games Through April 7 and Save
With downtown construction impacting traffic, it’s the perfect time to try out Metro’s convenient rail service to games at STAPLES Center. To help fans make their entertainment dollars go further, the LA Kings hockey team has extended its discount to Metro riders for most home games through April 7 at STAPLES Center. So by taking Metro you will save time and effort and $10 per ticket to the game. All the better to buy popcorn, hot dogs, nachos and sodas, not to mention Kings T-shirts.
The Kings are offering the $10-off discount on any ticket purchased by fans who show their Metro ticket or pass at the STAPLES Center box office. For example, Kings tickets regularly priced at $26.50, $32.50, $55.50, $70.50, $89.50 and $120.50 will be reduced to $16.50, $22.50, $45.50, $60.50, $79.50 and $110.50. Discounts will apply to all games except those on Feb. 17 and Feb. 24.
Only a five-minute walk from STAPLES Center and the Convention Center, the Metro Rail system connects fans to the comfort and ease of the Metro Blue Line at Pico/Chick Hearn Station. The Metro Blue Line travels between downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach, with Metro Rail and bus connections throughout Los Angeles County.
Upon arriving at Pico/Chick Hearn station, fans need only walk one block west on Pico Boulevard to Figueroa Street, turn right and walk north on Figueroa to STAPLES Center at 11th and Figueroa streets. Start by buying a $3 day pass and avoid crowds at ticket machines, following the game or show. And present it at the STAPLES Center box office to get the discount.
