Among the stories: Happy birthday Metro Rail! Through old footage and new, Metro Motion celebrates the 20th birthday of Metro Rail. The first segment -- the Metro Blue Line -- opened on July 14, 1990.
The celebration continues with news of the first Measure R rail project to begin construction, the Foothill Extension of the Metro Gold Line from Pasadena to Azusa.
There's a tribute to early settlers whose remains were found in unmarked graves during construction of a retaining wall for the Eastside Extension. They were honored with a beautiful commemorative wall, unveiled during a ceremony noting their contributions to early California.
Also in the show is an interview with L.A. County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, who brought the Dodger Stadium Express to Los Angeles.
And finally, there's a photo gallery of the Metro Gold, Blue and Silver lines, courtesy of L.A. Inc.'s latest photo scavenger hunt.
Metro Motion runs quarterly on cable stations throughout Los Angeles County. To find it on YouTube, search "metro motion - summer 2010."
